Stage 1 • The Surprise
Pregnancy Announcement Photos

A pregnancy announcement photo does not need to be elaborate to be meaningful. The ones that last are the ones that feel true to who you are and where you are in this moment.
You Do Not Need a Photographer
A phone propped on a shelf, a self-timer, or a trusted friend with a steady hand is all you need. What matters is the light, the moment, and the people in the frame. Professional photos are wonderful, but they are not a requirement for a photo worth keeping.
Choose a Location That Means Something
Your living room, your backyard, the spot where you found out. A location with personal meaning adds a layer to the photo that a generic backdrop cannot. Years from now, you will remember exactly where you were standing and why you chose that spot.
Include Something Small and Specific
A onesie, a pair of tiny shoes, a sonogram, or a handwritten note gives the photo a focal point and tells the story without needing a caption. One well-chosen object is more powerful than a full prop setup. Keep it simple and let the detail do the work.
Take More Than You Think You Need
Shoot in a burst, try a few different angles, and do not delete anything until you are home and looking at a larger screen. The photo you end up loving is rarely the one you expected. Give yourself options and choose later with fresh eyes.
Something Worth Capturing
Find pieces that photograph beautifully and feel meaningful in person. Designed to be part of the moment you are documenting.
